The Social Budget: Citizens’ Voices Matter

“NGO Center” Civil Society Development non-governmental organization is implementing the “The Social Budget: Citizens’ Voices Matter” project.

The goal of the project is to contribute to increasing the transparency, accountability, and efficiency of state budget policy in the field of social protection in the Republic of Armenia, specifically regarding state support programs targeted at persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh (NK).

 

The main objectives of the project are:

  1. To ensure evidence-based advocacy based on the results of budget monitoring and analyses conducted within the framework of state programs targeted at displaced persons from NK in the field of social protection.
  2. To promote the participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) and citizens in budgetary processes, as well as to strengthen constructive policy dialogue between state bodies, CSOs, and other stakeholders.
  3. To ensure the public dissemination of recommendations developed based on the results of budget monitoring.

 

This publication has been developed with the financial support of the European Union, within the framework of a sub-grant provided under the “Budgets for Citizens” project implemented by a consortium led by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO.
