During the month of May, the NGO Center team held meetings with residents and local government representatives from 10 target communities adjacent to Dilijan National Park.
Within the framework of the “Biodiversity and Specially Protected Nature Areas” component of WWF Armenia’s “Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Armenia” project, the goal of this important phase is to conduct a rapid needs assessment of the communities.
Through direct meetings and detailed interviews, the team worked to identify local priorities and the primary needs of the residents. The collected data will serve as the basis for the subsequent effective introduction and implementation of the Financial Participatory Approach (FPA) in the mentioned communities.

This initiative is a component of the broader project “Biodiversity and Sustainable Local Development in Armenia.” In collaboration with WWF-Armenia, NGO Center provides facilitation and consultancy services aimed at community self-organization. The project involves organizing community meetings, defining priorities, and developing micro-projects that contribute to both environmental conservation and the improvement of local livelihoods.
