Today, we held an online meeting with our colleague from Ukraine, Oleksii Kovalenko, head of the “Civil Society Development Forum” NGO. The discussion focused on the Ukrainian experience of school participatory budgeting and the approaches we can implement here in Armenia.
Our cooperation is entering a practical phase: we have agreed to translate and localize the tools created by our Ukrainian partners. This is a wonderful opportunity to combine best international practices with our local specifics.
Arpine Hakobyan, President of the NGO Center, noted that we have already begun the process of introducing participatory budgeting in schools and have prepared a preliminary toolkit manual. The experience of our Ukrainian colleagues will further enrich and complete the framework we have developed.
