Within the framework of the Open Government Week, in cooperation with the “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO and the RA Prime Minister’s Staff, a forum titled “Dialogue for Progress” was held at the RA Government Building, bringing together representatives of community-based CSOs and government officials.
The main objective of the event was to introduce the participants to the reforms implemented within the framework of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and the activities carried out by the Department of Participatory and Open Governance Issues of the Prime Minister’s Staff. Since this department ensures the development of government-public dialogue mechanisms and serves as the OGP National Coordinator, the forum became an important platform for discussing proven models of participatory governance and social delegation.
Lilya Afrikyan, Head of the Department of Participatory and Open Governance Issues of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff, and Arpine Hakobyan, President of the “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO, delivered welcoming remarks at the event.
In the first part of the event, Lilya Afrikyan presented a retrospective summary of the reforms implemented under previous OGP action plans. This was followed by a discussion on future commitments, specifically the 2025-2027 Action Plan and its resulting priorities. The second half of the event was dedicated to an active Q&A session and an open discussion, where attendees had the opportunity to talk about the prospects of developing government-public dialogue mechanisms. The forum concluded with a shared commitment to effectively apply participatory governance models and contribute to sustainable community development.
