On July 10, a working discussion took place in the parliament, initiated by the “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO and in cooperation with Tsovinar Vardanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly.
Representatives of the CSO sector and the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia attended the discussion. The main topic on the agenda was the introduction of a system of social allocations to CSOs, mass media, and political parties alongside the launch of the income declaration system for individuals.
This initiative aims, through amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, to include funds transferred free of charge to non-profit organizations by individuals in the category of reimbursable “social expenses.”
During the meeting, current issues concerning the practical impact of the draft, sub-legislative regulations, and the effectiveness of its implementation were jointly reviewed.
