On May 26, within the framework of developing the 2027-2029 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) project, including the 2027 state budget, the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs organized a discussion on budgetary bids with the participation of interested Civil Society Organizations (hereinafter: CSOs).
Nane Mkhitaryan, a young budget specialist from the “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO, participated in the discussion. The meeting focused on the 2027 budget process for the programs “Child Issues”, “Women’s Issues, Support to Victims of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking”, and “Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities”, specifically covering the indicators of the 2027-2029 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, mechanisms and results of budget bid quality assessment, as well as new initiatives.
During the discussion, reference was made to the effectiveness of program implementation and ensuring accessibility for beneficiaries. It was emphasized that the effective allocation of public resources is a crucial prerequisite for providing targeted and comprehensive services to individuals in difficult life situations.
The meeting was held in a Q&A format, which allowed the participants to raise their concerns, discuss the expansion of the scope of provided services, new tools for care organization, strengthening state-civil society cooperation, and other related issues.
