The Project is implemented within the framework of the Civil Society in Action (CSA) program, which aims<\/strong> to enhance civil society sustainability through improved financial viability, organizational capacity, and policy dialogue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vision<\/strong> for the implementation of the CSA program is to enable local organizations and civic movements to enhance two key dimensions of civil society: CSOs\u2019 impacts on policy discourse (the external effect) and CSOs\u2019 representation of constituents (the internal effect).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In order to achieve all of this, the CSA program has set a number of Objectives<\/strong>:<\/em><\/p>\n

Objective 1:<\/strong><\/span> CSO financial viability improved.<\/p>\n

Objective 2:<\/strong><\/span> Organizational capacity of CBOs enhanced.<\/p>\n

Objective 3:<\/strong><\/span> CSO and government dialogue on public policy enhanced.<\/p>\n

Objective 4:<\/strong><\/span> Locally-led development promoted.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Activities<\/strong> implemented and\/or facilitated by the NGO Center are:<\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Actively participate in various trainings and training-of-Trainers (TOT) organized by CSA and any other workshops required by the Program;<\/li>\n
  2. Participate or facilitate organizational development assessments of partner organizations with the follow up action planning;<\/li>\n
  3. Deliver technical assistance (needs assessment, trainings, consultations, etc.) to CBOs based on the findings of OD assessments and per project needs;<\/li>\n
  4. Organize roundtable discussions, brainstorming sessions, and other forms of gatherings based on project needs;<\/li>\n
  5. Assist CSA\/Counterpart in managing grant competition and award processes. It is expected to assist CSA\/Counterpart in performing grant selection, administration, and management tasks to 10 CBOs during the first year and an additional 10 CBOs starting from the second year and beyond.<\/li>\n
  6. Monitor, evaluate and report on grants awarded to CBOs;<\/li>\n
  7. Disseminate project related information through its networks;<\/li>\n
  8. Provide logistical assistance to CSA activities;<\/li>\n
  9. Organize learning exchanges for selected CBOs across selected Marzes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The “CSOs<\/em><\/strong>4<\/em><\/strong>Progress” pro<\/em><\/strong>ject<\/em><\/strong> is implemented by “NGO Center” <\/em><\/strong>C<\/em><\/strong>ivil <\/em><\/strong>S<\/em><\/strong>ociety <\/em><\/strong>D<\/em><\/strong>evelopment NGO within the framework of the “Civil Society<\/em><\/strong> in Action<\/em><\/strong>” (<\/em><\/strong>CSA<\/em><\/strong>) <\/em><\/strong>P<\/em><\/strong>rogram. CS<\/em><\/strong>A <\/em><\/strong>is a five-year program <\/em><\/strong>funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and <\/em><\/strong>implemented by Counterpart International<\/em><\/strong> in partnership with Urban Foundation for Sustainable Development<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
