{"id":6004,"date":"2026-05-31T16:50:49","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T16:50:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/?p=6004"},"modified":"2026-05-31T18:48:45","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T18:48:45","slug":"soc-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/en\/soc-budget\/","title":{"rendered":"The Voice of Citizens in the Social Budget: Online Discussions Held with the Participation of CSO Representatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"container\">\n<div id=\"model-response-message-contentr_8abdf73729a3cefa\" class=\"markdown markdown-main-panel enable-updated-hr-color\" dir=\"ltr\" aria-live=\"off\" aria-busy=\"false\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"0\">On May 14 and 15 of this year, the &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO conducted online discussions within the framework of the &#8220;Social Budget: When the Voice of Citizens Matters&#8221; sub-grant project.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\">The main purpose of the event was to present a detailed analysis of the state budget in the field of social protection of the Republic of Armenia (covering 2024 and the first nine months of 2025) to civil society stakeholders, and to jointly develop recommendations for sector improvement and strategic directions for advocacy.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">More than 35 CSO representatives, who are actively engaged in various communities across Armenia as well as in the social sector, joined the meetings online.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The core discussions during both days centered around the efficiency of the 2024-2025 social protection budget allocations, the reflection of target group needs (particularly of forcibly displaced persons) in the state budget, and mechanisms for empowering civic participation in budgetary processes.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">An effective platform for dialogue was created during the online discussions; participants not only thoroughly familiarized themselves with the presented analysis and package of recommendations, but also shared their own observations and practical insights, which will be integrated into future advocacy efforts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 14 and 15 of this year, the &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO conducted online discussions within the framework of the &#8220;Social Budget: When the Voice of Citizens Matters&#8221; sub-grant project.
