The meeting was attended by interested civil society organizations (CSOs). Nane Mkhitaryan, a young budget specialist representing the &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO, participated in the discussion.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">During the meeting, several key issues were raised regarding the efficiency of public debt management, debt sustainability, and risk assessment. The participants also addressed public finance policy priorities, alongside the improvement of planning, coordination, and monitoring mechanisms for budgetary programs.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">In addition, the discussion covered opportunities for increasing transparency and efficiency in public procurement policies, as well as directions for the targeted allocation of social expenditures and maximizing their impact.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">The meeting was held in a Q&amp;A format, providing participants with a direct platform to voice their concerns and receive clarifications from representatives of the responsible state body.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Furthermore, the &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO ensured the participation of around 6 other civil society organizations, thereby contributing to increased transparency in the process and strengthening state-civil society cooperation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On April 15, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia hosted a discussion on budget bids within the framework of developing the 2027-2029 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) draft, including the 2027 state budget.
