This initiative is a significant outcome of <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"3256\">decentralized cooperation<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"3281\"> between the cities of Strasbourg and Vanadzor, aiming to promote women&#8217;s involvement in community life and develop their leadership skills<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"3420\">. The forum, which was attended by approximately 150 representatives, is named after the legendary Armenian figure of the anti-fascist resistance, <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"3567\">Melinee Manouchian<\/strong> <span data-start-index=\"3585\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-start-index=\"3586\">During the official opening, <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"3615\">Jeanne Barseghian<\/strong>, the Mayor of Strasbourg, delivered a video message, noting that this forum honors women involved in community life and various structures <span data-start-index=\"3771\">. She emphasized that equality progresses through the exchange of experience and expressed hope that &#8220;Melinee&#8221; would become a prime example of <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"3914\">sisterhood and cooperation<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"3940\"> between France and Armenia<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"3967\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-start-index=\"3968\">The forum&#8217;s agenda was filled with panel discussions, the first of which was dedicated to <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4058\">women&#8217;s leadership<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"4076\"> and the obstacles encountered on the path to holding executive positions<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"4149\">. During the discussion moderated by <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4186\">Arpine Hakobyan<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"4201\">, President of the &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO, leading specialists in the field shared their experiences<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"4321\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-start-index=\"4322\">The second panel discussion focused on the <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4365\">current state of women&#8217;s rights<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"4396\">, achievements, and future steps<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"4428\">. Under the leadership of <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4454\">Karine Davtyan<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"4468\">, President of the &#8220;Women&#8217;s Rights House&#8221; NGO, speakers addressed the legal and social challenges that women face<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"4581\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-start-index=\"4582\">Participants also had the opportunity to watch the theatrical performance <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4656\">&#8220;Mari,&#8221;<\/strong><span data-start-index=\"4663\"> which is based on Hovhannes Tumanyan\u2019s work &#8220;Maro&#8221; and the real-life stories of beneficiaries from the &#8220;Women&#8217;s Rights House&#8221;<\/span> <span data-start-index=\"4789\">. The performance highlighted painful topics such as <\/span><strong data-start-index=\"4842\">domestic violence, early marriages, and sexual harassment<\/strong> <span data-start-index=\"4899\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>This forum serves as an exceptional platform within an <strong data-start-index=\"4955\">18-month project<\/strong> aimed at strengthening women&#8217;s self-confidence and leadership skills at both individual and community levels . Through your participation, you will contribute to the formation of a safe environment and the implementation of social transformations aimed at women&#8217;s empowerment .<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Several organizations have joined forces to implement the project . From Strasbourg, the <strong data-start-index=\"5335\">Information Center on the Rights of Women and Families (CIDFF)<\/strong>, the <strong data-start-index=\"5403\">Association of French University Graduate Women (AFDU)<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start-index=\"5467\">&#8220;Cit\u00e9 des Lionnes&#8221;<\/strong> association are involved .
