{"id":5542,"date":"2025-07-29T14:17:53","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/?p=5542"},"modified":"2025-08-29T14:22:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T14:22:37","slug":"desire-lut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/en\/desire-lut\/","title":{"rendered":"Trainings for Youth and Teachers to Develop Soft Skills Based on LUT University Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"x3jgonx\">In July 2025, the \u201cNGO Center\u201d Civil Society Development NGO organized a series of in-house multiplication trainings within the framework of the \u201c<a title=\"DeSIRe: Development of Soft Skills at Higher Education Institutions of Armenia and Georgia in Compliance with the 21st Century Labour Market Requirements\" href=\"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/en\/programs\/desire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeSIRe\u201d project<\/a>. The purpose of the trainings was to develop the soft skills of teachers and young people, which are essential for the modern labor market and community development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x3jgonx\">The sessions were facilitated by experienced professionals Arpine Hakobyan and Vahe Khachikyan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"x3jgonx\">The trainings covered four main thematic areas:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<span class=\"x3jgonx\">Media &amp; Digital Literacy Skills (Module 1)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"x3jgonx\">Prioritizing &amp; Decision-Making Skills (Module 4)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"x3jgonx\">Creative Thinking &amp; Problem-Solving Skills (Module 5)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"x3jgonx\">Emotional &amp; Social Intelligence (MOOC 5)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"x3jgonx\">Over the course of two days, eight interactive sessions were held with the participation of more than 329 participants. The trainings combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, group discussions, role-playing activities, and action planning, ensuring immediate applicability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x3jgonx\">Participants acquired essential skills in identifying media manipulation, fact-checking, and applying time and task management tools (Eisenhower Matrix, Priority Tree). They also explored creative thinking methods (SCAMPER, lateral thinking) and developed their emotional intelligence through the Forum Theatre method.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<span class=\"x3jgonx\">Participants highlighted the interactive format of the sessions, their practical applicability, and the innovative methods used. Many noted their readiness to apply the acquired knowledge in teaching, youth work, and community initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><em><span class=\"x3jgonx\">The ERASMUS+ CBHE project &#8220;Developing Soft Skills in Higher Education to Increase Employability in the 21st Century Labor Market in Armenia and Georgia&#8221; (DeSIRe) is led by Vanadzor State University named after H.
