{"id":4619,"date":"2023-12-27T09:17:33","date_gmt":"2023-12-27T09:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/?p=4619"},"modified":"2023-12-27T09:48:30","modified_gmt":"2023-12-27T09:48:30","slug":"a-second-focus-group-discussion-was-held-for-the-purpose-of-local-ogp-monitoring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ngoc.am\/en\/a-second-focus-group-discussion-was-held-for-the-purpose-of-local-ogp-monitoring\/","title":{"rendered":"A second focus group discussion was held for the purpose of local OGP monitoring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0On December 15, the second focus group discussion was held in the city of Vanadzor within the framework of the \u00a0\u201cCommunity Based Monitoring for Effective Local Democracy\u201d project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The focus group discussion was attended by the representatives of &#8221; &#8220;NGO Center&#8221; Civil Society Development NGO., &#8220;Winnet Vanadzor&#8221; NGO, &#8220;Lusastgh&#8221; \u00a0NGO, &#8220;We&#8221; \u00a0Youth NGO, and &#8220;Restart Vanadzor&#8221; NGO.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the focus group discussion, reference was made to \u00a0OGP action plan of Vanadzor-Gyumri cities, in particular, to the undertaken by the city of Vanadzor. .<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The commitments \u00a0of OGP are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transparent management of community resources<\/li>\n<li>Interactive budget input.<\/li>\n<li>Improving the level of transparency of the municipal budget based on the principle of &#8220;open data&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of information on access to community facilities for persons with disabilities<\/li>\n<li>Installation of an interactive screen of the community development program in Vanadzor and Gyumri<\/li>\n<li>Provision of urban &#8220;green&#8221; transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Specific Objectives of \u2018\u2019Community Based Monitoring for Effective Local Democracy\u201d project \u00a0are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To implement monitoring and oversight of the local action plan commitments in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri and Armavir communities of Armenia, ideally focusing on approaches that can be scalable across action plan cycles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cNGO Center\u201d Civil Society Development Non-Governmental Organization with the support of Open Government Partnership (OGP) implements \u201cCommunity Based Monitoring for Effective Local Democracy\u201d project. In 2011, government leaders and civil society advocates came together to create a unique partnership (OGP) one that combines these powerful forces to promote transparent, participatory, inclusive, and accountable governance.
