Supported by USAID Armenia and led by the NGO Centre “CapSLoc: Capacities for Sustained Locally-Led Development” three-year project’s goal is increase the capacity and resilience of Akhuryan consolidated community to lead its development.
Community development is vital to the stability and growth of any society. It implies the authority of communities to take responsibility for their own development.
When residents are involved in the development of their communities, more likely, they will take responsibility for results and and demonstrate ownership, which will lead to more stable and long-lasting results.
Involving residents in the development of their own communities also contributes to social cohesion, inclusion and empowerment. Working together towards a common goal creates stronger and more resilient communities.
The CapSLoc project is generally aimed at community development, in which the creation of a sustainable and inclusive society is essential. In order to achieve this goal, five non-governmental organizations operating in Armenia have united their efforts and will carry out joint activities during the next three years.
