Project UNITY is a regional initiative co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU). It is implemented by the Saorsa Association from Poland in partnership with “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO from Armenia, “Modern Format” NGO from Ukraine, and “Nord Press” NGO from Moldova, within the framework of the GIZ implemented program “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries.”
The project operates across Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine with the aim of strengthening the resilience and sustainable networking of civil society organizations (CSOs) both within the Eastern Partnership region and in cooperation with European counterparts. At the heart of this initiative is the creation and launch of csotogether.com, a digital cooperation platform designed to serve as a regional hub for collaboration, mutual learning, and international outreach.
Project UNITY empowers CSOs, especially those located outside capital cities, by providing inclusive, technology-driven opportunities for development. The platform will offer access to tailored services such as training, expert support, and consulting while enabling CSOs to co-design and implement joint projects, manage events, and share knowledge across borders. It is envisioned as a multifunctional tool that will not only improve visibility and engagement for regional organizations but also foster long-term partnerships.
Emphasizing the core values of gender equality, inclusive governance, and sustainable development, the project aims to broaden participation in democratic processes and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities.
Project UNITY anticipates a measurable increase in cross-border collaboration, targeting a 50 percent rise in resource-sharing and joint initiatives among registered users. The result will be a resilient, secure, and user-friendly platform that meets the evolving needs of civil society actors in the Eastern Partnership region.
