On September 13, a dialogue meeting under the NGO Center’s #Dialogue4Progress initiative took place at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
The event brought together representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Affairs.
The meeting aimed to foster dialogue between CSOs operating in the education sector and the NA standing committee coordinating the field. Sisak Gabrielyan, Chairman of the RA NA SECDY Standing Committee, committee member Hakob Aslanyan, and MP Hovik Aghazaryan engaged in discussions with CSO representatives on various issues related to the education sector, particularly focusing on public education and higher education.
The discussion addressed existing challenges in the sector and explored potential solutions that could be achieved through legislative changes.
This meeting is part of the NGO Center’s #Dialogue4Progress events, which aim to promote dialogue between state structures and civil society.
It’s worth noting that the “Institutional Capacity Development of CSOs” program component is implemented within the framework of the “Civil Society Development in Eastern Partnership Countries” program, as a service provided by the “NGO Center” civil society development NGO. The program is implemented by the German International Cooperation Company (GIZ) with co-financing from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union.
