The “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO, remaining true to its mission, continues to support the promotion of democracy, transparency, and sustainable development in communities.
On August 15, a contract signing ceremony for the sub-grant projects under the program “CSOs4SLD2: CSOs for sustainable local development (Grant Management)” was held at the NGO Center office. The goal of the CSOs4SLD2 program is to foster sustainable and inclusive local development across different communities in Armenia.
The sub-grant projects are provided within the framework of the “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries” program, implemented by the GIZ with the financial support of the Government of Germany and the European Union.
Over the next six months, these 10 projects implemented in different communities will aim to promote good governance and democracy, community development, the inclusion and support of vulnerable groups, as well as environmental protection and the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the contract signing ceremony, Arpine Hakobyan, President of NGO Center, emphasized the role of civil society, noting that these projects are not only aimed at solving specific issues but also at fostering resilience in communities and building a culture of cooperation.
“We believe that small steps can bring about great change. The NGO representatives gathered here today can prove that in Armenia’s communities there are proactive and dedicated people who are ready to work for the common good,” said Arpine Hakobyan.
This grant phase marks yet another step toward building sustainable, inclusive, and democratic communities.
This event is implemented within the framework of NGO Center’s “CSOs4SLD2: CSOs for sustainable local development (Grant administration)” project under ‘Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries’ programme, implemented by GIZ with funding from the German Government and the European Union.
