Community Assemblies within the Framework of the Second Phase of Human-Centered Community Service Improvemen

“NGO Center” for the Development of Civil Society, commissioned by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in partnership with the Armavir Development Center (ADC), has launched the second phase of its human-centered community service design project. The project aims to improve local services based on the genuine needs of residents.

In May, project teams held community assemblies in the towns of Akunk, Martuni, Talin, Gavar, Tashir, and Noyemberyan using a Town Hall format. During these meetings, residents were given the opportunity to participate in critical discussions, present the challenges and needs they observe, and collaborate with representatives of local self-government to jointly identify which services are most in need of enhancement.

The goal of these assemblies was to ensure that the selected community services align as closely as possible with residents’ needs and expectations, fostering participatory governance and deepening community engagement in decision-making processes.
