Human centric service prototype discussions in 10 communities of Armenia

Under the mandate of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the Civil Society Development NGO “CSO Center,” in cooperation with the Armavir Development Center, summarized the discussions of human-centered service design activities carried out in 10 multi-ethnic communities of Armenia during March. These discussions focused on the validation of prototypes.

The main goal of the meetings was to summarize the process of designing human-centered community services, providing an opportunity for residents to get involved in the development of their communities.

In the communities, human-centered services included ideas for improving public transportation, educational and developmental opportunities for children and youth, enhancing the quality of community cultural life, and the efficient design of public spaces.

These meetings involved local residents, displaced persons from NK, representatives of local self-government bodies, and other interested parties. As a result, around 221 residents participated in the discussions, 33 of whom were displaced from NK.

During the discussions, citizens emphasized that such meetings are crucial for addressing community issues, as they provide an opportunity to voice their opinions and collaboratively develop effective solutions. The participants expressed confidence that these services would contribute to the sustainable development of communities and the improvement of residents’ quality of life.

This initiative is implemented by “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO, commissioned by the German International Cooperation (GIZ), and co-financed by the Government of Germany and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Armenia, within the framework of the “Good Governance for Local Development in the South Caucasus” project.
