Today, an online meeting was held to discuss the development and implementation of the “Civil Society” academic education module. Organized by the NGO Center, the meeting aimed to enhance the quality of civic education in universities.
The event opened with speeches by Arpine Hakobyan, President of the NGO Center, and Arpine Baghdoyan, representative of NEF Belgium. Both emphasized the importance of civic education in fostering informed and active citizenship among young people.
The structure of the module was presented by Harutyun Vermishyan, the head of the expert group, who highlighted its comprehensive and practical approach. The meeting also included an engaging discussion on the opportunities and challenges of implementing the module in universities. Representatives from Goris State University, V. Brusov State University, and Eurasia International University actively participated in the discussions.
The NGO Center remains open to collaborating with other universities to explore opportunities for introducing the “Civil Society” module and ensuring access to quality civic education for students.
